Hi my name is Greg Washington and I am offering drum lessons for beginner, intermediate, and advanced, level students.
Areas of instruction will include:
-Developing a solid foundation in rudiments and technique.
-Being effective around the drum kit utilizing rudiments and technique.
-Building speed
-Application of rudiments in different styles of music (gospel, jazz, funk, latin, rock)
-Building foot control and foot technique.
-Working with a metronome and counting.
-Studio Drumming
-Drum Kit Maintenance
I am a graduate of the Atlanta Institute of Music and have also studied at The Collective School of Music in New York.
My educational pursuits have allowed me to study with greats such as Pat Petrillo (Patti Labelle), Tom Knight (TLC),
Nathaniel Townsley (Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey) and many others. I have also recorded with Outkast,
Chuck D of Public Enemy, and a wide variety of talent across the musical spectrum.
I can teach from my home studio near downtown Decatur or come to you. All lessons at my house are $25 for half an hour and
$35 for 1 hour. If I travel to you $35 will cover half an hour and $45 will cover 1 hour. I can also offer a special bundle rate at a
discount when you purchase 4 or more lessons in advance.
Extra drum set is provided. Just bring your sticks.
