The Prophet has a noticeable "hum" when the power is on, but it does not translate into an amp. The whole synth works fine. The synthesizer is still wrapped in its plastic protective covering, but some old tape adhesive is still stuck to the plastic covering in some areas. It isn't in the wood and the whole wood casing is fine and the programming board and switches have been protected by the plastic covering (which came from the factory that way) Comes with owner's manual but has no case.
